Mission Trips

 KATRINA RELIEF MISSION TRIP

The trip to Lakeshore was very successful.  The team of seven installed toilets, lights, ceiling fans, hot water heater, doors, and more.  They were trying to get a home ready for an elderly lady who has been told to be out of her FEMA trailer by the end of December.  When the team left, all that was left to finish the home was installing cabinets and appliances. Please continue to pray for the people on the coast.  Many people were greatly affected by and are still feeling the effects of the hurricanes that struck over two years ago.  If you feel the call to go help out, this church has a tremendous ministry and can always use more help!  You can see our team at this website:  http://jamiedunbar.blogspot.com

To find out more about this ministry, you can visit the church's website:  www.rebuildlakeshore.com .  There are some really heart-warming stories of what volunteers have been doing in the area.

2007 BRAZIL MISSION TEAM REPORT

The Brazil Mission Team worked in Guarulhos, a district of Sao Paulo, July 22-29.  The fifteen member team worked with Soberana Baptist Church.  They did home visits, prayer walking and passed out tracts in the mornings.  In the afternoon they conducted VBS.  Every evening there were worship services in homes and in different churches that several team members participated in.  One of the highlights of the week was a visit to a nursing home.

There were 34 professions of faith and over 1500 contacts made through VBS, home visits, services and handing out tracts.

The team would like to thank your for your prayers and support.  God has already opened doors for a trip next year.  Begin praying now about being part of the team.
